Jungian-oriented Psychotherapy

Wholeness is not something we achieve, it is something we allow.

Analytical Psychology, also known as Jungian Psychology, is a depth-oriented approach to psychotherapy and analysis developed by the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung (1875–1961). It invites an introspective journey into the unconscious, emphasizing self-understanding, personal growth, and the unfolding of the authentic Self.

Grounded in Jung’s theories of archetypes and the collective unconscious a deep psychic layer shared by all of humanity, this approach recognizes the symbolic and spiritual dimensions of human experience. At the heart of Jungian Psychology lies a reverence for the symbolic life. Jung’s exploration of the psyche encompasses both the personal and collective unconscious, offering insights drawn from dreams, imagery, myth, archetypes, the shadow, complexes, and the diverse phenomena of life. This perspective celebrates the rich tapestry of human existence, allowing us to connect with something greater than ourselves.

In the session, the individual may choose to speak freely about what is on their mind. At times, this may include exploring dreams; at other times, creative expression through artmaking or Sandplay Therapy may emerge. The process follows where the psyche leads, allowing what needs attention to come into awareness in its own time and way. There is no need to plan or decide in advance what must unfold. Each session begins with listening and allowing the the psyche to guide the process, trusting that what needs attention will naturally emerge in its own time and form.
